Cortlandt Living Magazine

Release Date: May 05, 2016
A New Publication in Town

The inaugural edition of Cortlandt Living magazine makes its’ debut
Cortlandt Living magazine launched on April 30, 2016 via direct mailings to Cortlandt homes.  The mission of Cortlandt Living magazine with Best Version Media is to "bring neighbors together" in a positive, relevant, and fun way; with a purposeful focus on family, community, the arts, local businesses, serving others, and charitable acts.  The list below is a list of sponsors, supporters, and contributors that Sonia Garber sought out -for help in getting the publication off the ground.
The publisher, Sonia Garber, has been obtaining ad sponsors over the course of the entire past year, so that the endeavor of Cortlandt Living magazine could come into fruition.  Bruce “the Blog” Apar of Yorktown (www.brucetheblog.com) writes the monthly feature article. Sonia Garber writes articles as well, and she also accepts community submissions which are to be submitted by the 25th of each month.
Cortlandt Living is a direct mail distribution to the residents in the town of Cortlandt..  The publisher, Sonia Garber, resides on the Peekskill-Cortlandt border, and thus has many Peekskill businesses and organizations involved with the magazine as well.  There are also a few Yorktown entities advertising within its’ pages, as on some roads, the geographical line that differentiates Cortlandt Manor from Yorktown becomes rather blurred.
Cortlandt Living’s current distribution area currently includes Cortlandt Manor, Verplanck, Buchanan, Montrose, Crugers, and Crompond.  Sonia Garber’s vision, in accordance with that of Town supervisor Linda Puglisi, whom Sonia met with in the early stages of building a client base for Cortlandt Living, is to have Croton included in the distribution area as well - through the obtaining of additional advertising sponsors. Then, “Cortlandt Living” would stand true to its’ name and include distribution to the entirety of areas within the Town of Cortlandt.
Linda Puglisi also kindly agreed to be on the cover of the inaugural (May 2016) edition of Cortlandt Living magazine with her family. On March 19, a photo shoot was arranged in front of Cortlandt Town Hall with Linda Puglisi and her adult children, their spouses, and her grandchildren.  Her grandchildren can be viewed on the inaugural edition cover of Cortlandt Living, frolicking in the grass and having fun! (please see attached) Michelle Piccolo of Photo Piccolo is the photographer.  Floral arrangements for the photo shoot were provided by Croton Florist.
