OPEN GYM BASKETBALL at the Community Center
  • Every Tuesday & Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Every Friday, 8:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Open to Croton, Hendrick Hudson and Lakeland Middle and High School Students or a middle/high school student who is a town resident. Youth must be registered as a participant of the Cortlandt Youth & Recreation Center in order to participate.
  • The Muriel H. Morabito Community Center is located at 29 Westbrook Drive, Cortlandt Manor.

OPEN GYM BASKETBALL at Hen-Hud H.S.
  • Every Monday, 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. (no program when school is closed)
  • For Hendrick Hudson School District Residents Only. Youth must be registered as a participant of the Cortlandt Youth & Recreation Center in order to participate.
  • The Hendrick Hudson High School is located at 2166 Albany Post Road, Montrose.

MACARONI MONDAYS
  • Every Monday, 5:30 p.m.
  • Come learn to cook and then eat a delicious macaroni dish! Each week we will teach you how to make a different dish. Pre-registration required by 3:00 p.m. each Monday. Call the YC at 914-736-0498.
  • Fee: $4

VALENTINE'S CARDS & CRAFTS
  • Friday, February 3, 7:00 p.m.
  • Come join us to make some Valentine’s Day crafts and cards. Perfect opportunity to make something to give to the ones you love!

LEARN TO ROW (Ages 11 - 18)
  • Saturday, February 4, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Participants will be taught how to operate the erg machine and will learn more about Crew. This event is hosted the Cortlandt Community Rowing Association (CCRA) & Town of Cortlandt YC. Participants will be encouraged to join us again in March for the SEAPLANE 500!


DJ NIGHT
  • Friday, February 10, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

COOKING FOR FRIENDS - International
  • Saturday, February 11, 2:00 p.m. Cooking, 5:00 p.m. Tasting
  • What dish sings of the spices of your culture? Prepare food with a nationality nuance and celebrate diversity with a delectable dish! Our kitchen is equipped with the tools for you to create your tasty dish. *Advanced registration required, along with recipe approval one week in advance. Participants are responsible for bringing the ingredients for their dish. Call the YC at 914-736-0498 to register.

TRIPLE M: MOVIE MADNESS MARATHON – Cartoon Animation
  • Saturday, February 18, 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • It’s cold out there and what’s better to do on a cold winter’s eve than watch a marathon of your favorite movies? Join us for an evening of movies, laughter and treats! Dinner and popcorn will be provided.
  • Fee: $5

MUSICAL THEATER WORKSHOP (Grades 2nd – 8th)                    
  • Monday – Friday, February 20 – 24, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Winter Session: “Snow White & the 7 Little People”
  • This workshop is for everyone from the student acting for the first time, to the seasoned performer. This program takes the students from the audition process to a final performance everyone will enjoy. Not only will this workshop be a source of fun and excitement but also will increase the skill level of every student, whether there goal is to become a professional actor or use the workshop to have fun and develop life skills. Productions with costumes, props and minimal sets. All youth will have a role to play. Each youth will receive a script and will be taught any music they will need to perform for their role. The results will be a wonderful final performance for friends and family on Friday at 1 p.m. Limited to 25 youth.

  • Home and looking for something to do? Head on over to the YC and learn how to make tie-dyed cupcakes!

DAZZLING DIVA SPA DAY
  • Tuesday, February 21, 4:00 p.m.
  • No matter the season there is always a reason to enjoy an afternoon of self-pampering, glitz and glamour!

STRETCH & RELEASE YOGA
  • Thursday, February 23, 4:00 p.m.
  • Are you looking for a full body release of both stress and tension from the everyday struggles of student life? Learning and incorporating the ancient methods of Yoga into your life can help to transform negative energy into positive energy. Youth are encouraged to come and clear their minds, bodies and souls during this harmonious class.

FRIDAY NIGHT MIC

  • Friday, February 24, 8:00 p.m.
  • An Open Mic Night where you can healthfully express yourself. All forms of expression are allowed within respectful reason. Celebrate your talent and skills with you peers, NO JUDGEMENT, just RESPECT and LOVE! Whether you are a dancer, singer, poet, artist, musician or comedian, everyone gets a chance to be heard, seen or just BE themselves.
  • Pre-registration required by 7:00 p.m.

HOME ALONE (Grades 5th – 8th)

  • Saturday, February 25, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • This program will provide each child with the essentials needed when they are home without adult supervision. Discussion will cover first aid, telephone and door answering, activity plans, encountering emergencies and more! Advance registration required by calling the YC at 914-736-0498.

SNEAK PEAK into March & April….
 
SEAPLANE 500! (Ages 11 - Adult)
  • Boys & Girls Indoor Rowing Race hosted by the Town of Cortlandt YC and the Cortlandt Community Rowing Association (CCRA). Families are invited to come and enjoy an afternoon of erg racing; no experience necessary. Participants will be taught how to operate the erg machine and then will have the opportunity to compete in a 500 meter race. Races will be divided by age and gender. All participants will receive a certificate of completion with their time.
  • Saturday, March 4, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
     

MRS. G’S CRAFT CORNER

  • Tuesdays, March 7 – 28 (4 sessions)
  • Join Mrs. G in the arts and crafts room for some fun and exciting projects! Pre-registration required; space is limited.
  • Time: 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
