2017 Earth Day Poster Contest
 
Hello Youth & Parents!
 
The Town of Cortlandt Youth and Recreation Center is happy to announce our Annual Earth Day Poster Contest. The contest is open to students’ grades 3rd – 8th from the Hendrick Hudson, Lakeland and Croton Harmon School Districts. Prizes will be awarded to the top place winners in two age groups. The first age group is 3rd – 5th grade; the second is 6th – 8th grade. All participants will receive a certificate of recognition.
 
All entries must have the theme, “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!” written on the poster and the illustration must show at least one thing we as a community can do daily to help protect our Earth. All written words and sentences must be grammatically correct.
 
All entries must be submitted on white 14” x 11” poster board (half of a sheet of standard size poster board) and can be held either horizontally or vertically. You may use your own poster board or you can pick-up a piece from either Cortlandt Town Hall, Recreation Department or the Youth & Recreation Center.

 
All entries are due no later than, Friday, March 31, 2017 and must have the registration form taped to the back of the poster to be entered into the contest. Entries can be dropped off at either location:
 
Cortlandt Town Hall, Recreation Department                    
1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, NY                           
M-F 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  

OR                                                                
                                                                                      

Cortlandt Youth & Recreation Center
 3 Memorial Drive, Croton, NY
M-Th 2:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
 F-Sat 1:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Sun 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Winners will be notified by phone and invited to The Town of Cortlandt Board Meeting on Tuesday, April 18, at 7:00 p.m. where they will be presented with their prizes. Winner’s poster will be displayed at The Cortlandt Youth & Recreation Center as well as be posted on the town’s Facebook page. All entries become the property of The Town of Cortlandt, and will not be returned. The Town retains the right to reproduce it indefinitely.
