LEGAL NOTICE

TOWN OF CORTLANDT

                                                                                                           

 

WHEREAS, the Town Board has previously received and filed, on June 15, 2004, a DRAFT Wetlands Ordinance in accordance with the provisions of Town Law;  and

 

WHEREAS, the Planning Department has prepared a Full Environmental Assessment Form;  and

 

WHEREAS, it is the determination of the Town Board that it would be appropriate for the Town Board to be the lead agency under SEQRA.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandt does hereby declare itself to be the Lead Agency with respect to the proposed Wetlands Ordinance;  and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandt, Westchester County, New York will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at 7:30 p.m., prevailing time, or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Vincent F. Nyberg General Meeting Room at the Town Hall of the Town of Cortlandt, located in said Town at One Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, New York  (10567), to receive public comment, and consider adoption of a proposed Local Law with respect to a Wetlands Ordinance.

 

A copy of said proposed Local Law is available in the Office of the Town Clerk, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except holidays.

 

All persons interested in this proposed action will be heard at the time, date and place specified above, and written comments in regard thereto should be submitted to the Town Clerk no later than August 16, 2004 to be included in the transcript of the proceedings of this hearing.

 

The Town Hall is a handicapped accessible facility and has hearing devices for the hearing impaired.
