Town of Cortlandt Official Coin Available for Purchase

Release Date: August 18, 2014

OWN A PIECE OF CORTLANDT HISTORY....
In 2009 the Town of Cortlandt, joining with New York State, celebrated and commemorated Henry Hudson's journeys up the river which bears his name. Robert Fulton's  and Samuel de Champlain's contributions to the explorations of our region were also recognized as integral to our identity.
Building on the 1909 celebrations, the 2009 events marked the proud progress we've made in those one hundred years.
Just as mementos of the 1909 commemorations are now treasured memorabilia, items produced in 2009 promise to be as valued.
The Town of Cortlandt Quadricentennial Committee produced beautiful commemorative coins to mark this history. These coins are available in bronze, for $10 each, and .999 silver for $55 each. (The silver coins come in a commemorative box with a certificate of authenticity.) Both coins have double-sided symbolism honoring the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial.
This is a commemorative you'll be proud to own and share with generations to come.

These coins are available for purchase at the Bear Mountain Toll House Visitor Information Center and at Cortlandt Town Hall during open hours.
