The destruction from the recent hurricane (Michael) in Florida, Georgia and beyond is devastating. Our heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families.  Hundreds of thousands of people have been affected by this category 4/5 that destroyed entire communities. It’s difficult to view and heart wrenching.

A few weeks ago Hurricane Florence also brought havoc to North and South Carolina resulting in severe flooding.

Our area has been hit hard over the years: Nor’easters last March, Hurricane Sandy and Irene several years ago, so we know how difficult it is to recover.  Thankfully, we did not have loss of life or the level of destruction we see from Hurricane Michael, the fourth most powerful hurricane in our Country’s history since weather records have been kept.

We are blessed to live in our community where everyone comes together to help others during emergencies.
