Good afternoon. This is the Town of Cortlandt with an important update regarding today’s storm. We have experienced a major power outage town wide due to extremely high winds and fallen trees. Approximately 17% of the Town is without power as of 3:30 this afternoon. Town crews continue to remove debris and keep roadways clear for travel where possible. Town staff will continue to work with Con-Edison to remove trees. Con Edison is responsible for repairing damaged power lines. We expect winds to pick up slightly this afternoon into the evening hours.

Please report power outages by contacting Con Edison at 1-800-75CONED, particularly if those around you have had their power restored. Please do not assume that Con Edison is aware of your outage.
