Advisory on COVID-19/Coronavirus

Release Date: March 13, 2020

  1. The Town of Cortlandt has been working with Westchester County Executive George Latimer, and the Westchester County Department of Health and Department of Emergency Services to plan and prepare for the COVID-19/Coronavirus here in our community. I have declared a State of Emergency in Cortlandt starting today.
  2. All Town Board, Planning Board, ZBA meetings as well as council and committee meetings will be cancelled immediately.
  3. All programs at the Community Center, which includes the Senior Center activities will be closed and the Youth Center, as well.
  4. Town Hall will be restricted to the public; however, all departments will be staffed and operating. For all routine business, please call Town Hall, do not come in. You can reach us at 914-734-1000 or www.townofcortlandt.com or call the applicable department. 
  5.  All payments can be made online. Town Government will be operating but will not have visitors to our offices. If you need assistance please contact the office you need for assistance.
  6.  All Town of Cortlandt Recreation programs are suspended for a period of 30 days. If you are currently registered and enrolled in a Town of Cortlandt Recreation program, you will receive a pro-rated refund or account credit. Registration for spring/summer programs will be accepted online only at www.townofcortlandt.com/reconline .
  7. Nutrition and Meals on Wheels will continue to provide home-delivered meals as scheduled to our seniors from our Center. However, all other Senior Programs are cancelled.
  8. The Town is currently identifying all Town employees that can work remotely and will continue to make business continuity a priority.
  9. The Town continues to be in regular communication with the County, as well as neighboring school districts and other agencies. We will continue to provide updated information as we receive it.
