Aaron Copland and the Copland House

“I am very proud to have been a charter member of the Copland House to preserve this now historic home, where Aaron Copland lived the last 30 years of his life.  His work table and many memorable photos and furnishings are still in this house located in Cortlandt.  It’s a pleasure to honor one of our foremost American Composers.

Many composers have now been able to reside there for short stays to be inspired to write their musical compositions.”

~Supervisor Linda Puglisi
