Welcome to the Town of Cortlandt Official site. Cortlandt, New York is located in the northwestern corner of Westchester County. With a population of almost 40,000 citizens Cortlandt includes two incorporated villages, Croton-on-Hudson and Buchanan and several hamlets including Montrose, Crugers and Verplanck. The Hudson River, the New York City Watershed Lands, numerous wooded hills and steep slopes, wetland areas and streams define the suburban character of the Town

Cortlandt has emphasized attention to our children, taxes, the environment, and quality of life.  It is an hour's drive to both a Broadway play and a Catskill salmon stream.....And it is a wonderful place to live and work!
