The Town of Cortlandt has divided its area into two major sectors for solid waste removal and four sectors for bulk trash removal.

Solid Waste Removal – Mondays – Northern end and Verplanck
                                                    Tuesdays – Southern end
(The Town dividing line for Sanitation purposes is generally along Route 202)
              Paper Removal – Wednesdays
              Co-Mingled Removal – Thursdays
Bulk Trash Removal – Fridays – Routes 1-4

    Holiday
Schedule – Any week with a Holiday reverts to our Holiday schedule i.e. Normal pickups for that day are pushed ahead to the next work day and bulk trash removal cancelled until the next available month.

    5th Fridays
    – There is no bulk trash removal on the 5th Friday of any month.  The Town schedules mandatory safety training for its employees on these dates in addition to other Town-wide clean-up projects.

    Household Chemical Clean-Up Dates –
Westchester County – There are also household chemical clean-up days provided by Westchester County and the Town will announce those special days once we are notified.   For more information please call (914) 813-5420.
