ANNUAL TAX COLLECTION SCHEDULE

The Town of Cortlandt Tax Office is responsible for the collection of Town and County Taxes, and School Taxes (Croton Harmon, Hendrick Hudson, Lakeland, Putnam, and Yorktown School Districts).

property ownerS in the Town of Cortlandt can expect to receive TWO tax bills EACH YEAR.

1. Town and County:  Tax bills are sent by first class mail on the last day of March and Payment is due by April 30^th.

2. SCHOOL: Tax bills are mailed the last day of August and technically due by September 30^th. However, The Town of Cortlandt allows tax payers the option to pay in two installments. The first half is due by September 30^th, with the second half due by January 31^st. Remember there is ONE bill with two payment coupons, no second billing is provided.

Should you choose to pay your school taxes in full you are welcome to do so by September 30^th.  After December 31^st, the full school tax payment is required.

Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM as well as the last Saturdays in April and in September from 9:00 AM to 12 noon.
