Our Community Swap is an event organized by the Town of Cortlandt Green Team.  Find NEW homes for your unused or unwanted items and pick up other items you can use for FREE! This is a great way to recycle and promote sustainability. Items for the community swap can be dropped off Friday, September 20, 2024 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm and Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 9:00am until 12:00pm.

In addition, the Rotary Club of Cortlandt will be holding a clothing donation drive in partnership with Helpsy, which keeps textiles out of the waste steam. Clothing donations will only be collected on Saturday, September 21 from 9:00am until 12:00pm.

What to bring to the Swap:

  • CLEAN, reusable, portable items.

  • Sporting Goods

  • Pet Supplies (Toys, crates, bowls, etc.- NO food items)

  • Arts & Crafts

  • Jewelry

  • Digital/Electric Items (CD's, DVD's, DVD players, CD Players, radios, etc.) *All items should be in working condition.

  • Housewares (Dishes, cups, china, candle holders, picture frames, lamps, etc.)

  • Toys & Games (Board games, yard games, card games, infant/toddler toys, etc.)

  • Books

  • Halloween Costumes (All ages and sizes)

  • Holiday Decorations (Lights, tree ornaments, outdoor props, etc.)

  • Furniture* - (Wood furniture weighing less than 50 lbs., such as end tables, coffee tables, night stands, chairs, stools etc.) *No Glass

  • NOT ACCEPTED: TV's, Computers, A/C units, Printers, VCR tapes, Baby equipment, Bike helmets, Personal hygiene products (includes make-up & perfumes)
