The Human Resource office carries out various Civil Service functions including hiring and termination procedures and working with the Westchester County’s Personnel Office to comply with Civil Service rules.  The Human Resource manger also serves as the health insurance administrator and handles all other employee benefit plans, assist in labor negotiations and monitors compliance with employee agreements.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains all personnel records
  • Canvass and recruit for full-time job opportunities
  • Maintains temporary service pool
  • Arrange for appointments of full-time, seasonal and part-time employees selected by departments to be hired
  • Monitor probationary period 
  • Assist in contract negotiations between the Town and employee associations and monitor contract compliance
  • Publicize available training and educational courses and seminars to employees
  • Prepare quarterly employee newsletter
  • Maintain employee handbook
  • Prepare personnel resolutions for the Town Board agenda
