Located off Trolley Road in Montrose, Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School is one of three elementary schools in the Hendrick Hudson School District.  With a large playground and gymnasium the school is used by the Town of Cortlandt for a variety of programs and leisure activities.  The Cortlandt Youth Basketball League holds games at the school and every Saturday morning during the winter, children can enjoy Free Play basketball.  This supervised program allows Cortlandt youths to play basketball and have fun without a competitive environment.

The site is also available for residents to enjoy other recreational activities, held by the Town of Cortlandt Recreation Division, outside of the sports world.  Every Wednesday, from January to June, the Cortlandt Stamp Club meets to share the excitement of their favorite hobby.

During the summer, Camp New Ventures meets daily at Frank G. Lindsey.  This day camp is for children, ages 5 through 21, with disabilities.  Run by Nor-West, the camp is open to all Westchester residents. For further information regarding Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School, please visit the schools website and for information regarding activities and programs hosted at the school, please contact the Town of Cortlandt Recreation Division.
