In Our Office:
Taxpayers are always welcome to come to Town Hall and pay in person. Office hours are:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
The last Saturday in April and September 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
For after-hours there is a locked DROP BOX (No Cash Accepted) located outside of the building in the courtyard. If putting payment in the drop box please include your phone number or email in case we need to get in touch with you.

By Mail:
Make payments payable to Debra Carter Receiver of Taxes and mail to:
Receiver of Taxes
Town of Cortlandt
One Heady Street
Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567

To avoid any penalty due to the possibility of delay by mail, make sure to witness a timely official United States postmark being affixed to your envelope. Keep in mind the day you put your payment in the mailbox may NOT be the same date that it gets postmarked and therefore we suggest that you witness the postmark. State law does not permit postage meter (i.e. Pitney Bowes) or foreign postmarks. A designated delivery service such as FedEx, DHL, or UPS may also be used with a postmark. New York State law states that where an envelope contains payment of local taxes with no U.S. postmark date, the payment of such taxes is deemed to have been made on the date the payment is received.

On-line:
As a convenience, taxpayers have the ability to pay their taxes on the internet in a fast, easy, and safe manner.  However, we do suggest that you do not wait until the last minute in case there are any software/ computer processing issues.
