Currently on display at Town Hall Art IRL!, is an exploration of works by artists who use digital tools in their creative process or who create works that solely exist in the digital realm. John Cox’s paintings are a simulation of experience, translating one medium into another. His gestural mark making evokes the digital disorder or glitches for the viewer resulting in gloriously colored canvases.

John Cox is an abstract painter based in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. His work embraces technological glitches by employing machine customized tools to translate experienced digital disorder into gestural marks that imprecisely mimic wave patterns.
