Nature and Fitness Trail Ribbon Cutting and Arbor Day Tree Planting
Town of Cortlandt
The new trail is located behind Charles J. Cook Pool, 293 Furnace Dock Road, Cortlandt Manor. It is approximately ½ mile and consists of an 8-ft wide rustic trail and twenty (20) pieces of fitness equipment nestled in a lovely natural setting.
Arbor Day is a holiday in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant trees. Though usually observed in the Spring, the date varies, depending on a suitable planting season. We will be planting a red oak tree, suggested by the Town of Cortlandt Conservation Advisory Council (CAC), near the NorWest Building behind the town pool.
Please join us on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 4:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
