Blue Mountain Middle School, a part of the Hendrick Hudson School District, is located on Furnace Woods Road in Cortlandt Manor.  Housing grades 6th through 8th, the school’s property includes an all purpose/soccer field and two ballfields.

When classes are not in session, the school is used by the Town of Cortlandt Recreation Division for a variety of activities.  During the summer, the Town of Cortlandt Recreation Department 7th/8th Grade Camp meets here.  Also during the fall and spring, the East Hudson Youth Soccer League travels throughout Westchester and Putnam Counties for their games.  However, boys and girls under the age of 15, practice at Blue Mountain twice a week.

From Rt. 202 West

Under Taconic go to the fourth traffic light and turn left onto Croton Ave. (at DB Gas Station) at the first stop sign bear right onto Furnace Dock Road.  Go forward through the blinking red light (which is Maple Ave & Furnace Dock Road).  Bear right at fork (which is Watch Hill Road--pass a pond on your right) at the stop sign turn right and then your immediate left into the school drive.

From the South

Take Route 9 North to Montrose exit.  Make left at the light at the end of the exit. Go North about ½ mile past Kwick Mart Deli make 1st right.  Continue to a stop sign make a right onto Watch Hill Rd.  Go out straight through blinking red light.  Go approximately 2 miles on Watch Hill Rd. past Gordo’s Grill Restaurant.  School on left side.

From the North

Take Route 9 South to Montrose exit.  Make right at the light at end of ramp.  Go past Kwick Mart Deli make 1st right onto Old Post Road.  Continue to a stop sign make a right onto Watch Hill Rd.  Go out straight through blinking red light.  Go approximately 2.5 miles on Watch Hill Rd.past Gordo’s Grill.  School on left side.
