AMERICAN RED CROSS BABYSITTING COURSE (Ages 11-14)
Angela Reeve, Instructor
The ARC Babysitter’s Training course is designed to provide youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills, learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe, help children behave and learn about basic child care as well as basic first aid. This fun and highly interactive training will keep youth engaged and allows for hands on practice with use of child care dolls and mannequins. Successful participants earn ARC Certification. Participants should bring a bagged lunch.

Love to act or sing? This workshop is for everyone from the beginning student to the seasoned performer. Experience the fun of theatrical games, auditioning and having a role in a live production! Taught by a professional actress/director, youth will enjoy nine working classes with a final performance.

COOKING WITH A DIETICIAN (Grades 6th- 8th)
Does your child only like certain meals? Struggling to find healthy snacks your child will enjoy? Want your child to learn about cooking and making their own meals? Dima Salhoobi, Registered Dietitian, is here to help! With over 10 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient nutrition education, Dima has successfully overcome mealtime challenges and introduced numerous recipes to her clients. She specializes in working closely with children, introducing them to the kitchen in a fun and interactive way. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity! Limited spots available! This program will provide each child with the essentials skills needed when they are home without adult supervision. Discussion will cover first aid, telephone and door answering, activity plans, encountering emergencies and more!

ICE SKATING AT THE YOUTH CENTER
While attending the Youth Center Drop Off Program for 6th-12th Graders, youth have the opportunity to ice skate at our ice-skating rink for free during the hours listed below. The Youth Center staff will accompany youth down to the rink during these hours. These hours are subject to change. If your child would like to ice skate outside of these hours they must be picked up by an adult rom the Youth Center. We will not allow youth to sign out of the Youth Center and walk down to the ice rink on their own.

JR. CHOPPED COMPETTION (Grades 6th-12th)
Grab a partner or compete individually, sign up to show off your cooking skills in this safe & fun cooking competition. Judges will be looking at appearance, creativity, theme and flavor as they taste your creation. Each competition has a theme and an ingredient that must be included Call to register: 914-736-0498.

MINI GOLF @ CHARLES COOK (Grades 6th- 12th)
Join the Youth Center Staff at the local mini golf course located behind Charles Cook Pool. Youth will get to play mini golf, hang out with friends, play other games like cornhole, board games and listen to music. Parents are responsible for drop off and pick up.
