Welcome New Friends,
On behalf of the Town of Cortlandt, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our Senior Center, located at 29 Westbrook Drive, Cortlandt Manor, NY.
The Muriel H. Morabito Community Center houses an active senior citizen program. The staff here is committed to providing leisure opportunities where “being active is a way of life”. The Town of Cortlandt Adults *(60+) socialize at the center, meet new friends while on trips, or learn new skills while participating in a myriad of programs.
New Programs: Pizza & Movie Afternoon, Wii Bowling on large screen TV, Cooking Class with WC Nutritionist, Jewelry Making Class, Tai Chi Series, Big Bingo, and many more.
Town of Cortlandt Special Events: Luncheons, educational speakers on various senior topics, blood pressure screening, health fairs, medical and shopping transportation services and more!
Travel Programs: Join the group on various senior outings-choose from NYC musicals, Casino Trips, Cruises on the Hudson, NYC Tours, Saratoga and much more. Please see trip itinerary for details.
Sports & Tournaments: Billiards, Bocce
Special Interest Courses: Designed to keep your mind and body active! Choose from various fitness classes (Zumba Gold, Line Dancing, aerobics, toning, Tai Chi, Chair Yoga), AARP Defensive Driving, IPad Computer Classes in our renovated computer lab, Art, Painting, Ceramics, and Cooking Classes.
Games: Bingo, Canasta, MahJong, Wii Gaming System and various card games.
Club Meetings: 4 Senior Groups include Nor-Cort, Cortlandt, Verplanck and Crompond.
Nutritional Lunches offered daily Monday through Friday at a cost of $3.00.
Monthly calendars are available for programs and meals.
